Activity Overview:
This family‑friendly session inspires curiosity, confidence
and creativity as children explore nature, build woodland skills and enjoy a
morning of outdoor fun.
What to expect:
· Mini Beast Safari
Children use fact sheets, tick sheets and magnifying glasses
to explore local wildlife habitats before regrouping to share what they've
discovered.
· Habitat Discovery
A playful introduction to how animals build their homes,
setting the scene for den building.
· Den Building Challenge
Working in small teams (with parents encouraged to join
in!), children build dens using natural materials. Expect teamwork, problem‑solving
and plenty of laughter as the leader “waterproofs” each den.
· Woodland Crafting
To finish, children get creative with age‑appropriate,
closely supervised whittling and clay sculpting. Each child will take home
their handmade woodland creature as a memento of the day.
